Older Adult Physical Therapy

Why choose Physical Therapy?

As we age our body naturally goes through changes that can lead to decreased strength, flexibility and balance. These changes can make it frustrating or hard to keep doing the things you want to do. However this doesn’t have to be the case and that is why we are here to help. Physical Therapists understand the physiological changes that occur with aging and how to combat those changes to keep moving and doing the things you want to do!

At Bay Physical Therapy, we are well positioned to help an older adult population based on our experience, training and access to equipment. Some of our useful tools specific to older adult PT include:

  • Parallel bars for balance training
  • Biodex balance system with visual feedback for balance training
  • Weighted vest for a bone health program
  • Resistance machines for a bone health program
